You have reached the online home of Indiepolitik, a social action group for Toronto's indie music scene. We are dedicated to mobilizing Toronto's indie community as a force for social change, and to building bonds between the indie community and local social action movements.
Please excuse the mess! We haven't been as good about updating this website as we ought to be, and some of the pages you'll find here may not be current. We thank you for your patience as we work through the updates, and we invite you to get in touch with us regarding any questions or comments you might have. Thanks for visiting!
Those of you who have been visiting our website regularly during the past couple of months may have noticed that we haven't been updating it as loyally as we should be. Later on this season, we plan to overhaul this website completely, making it more useful, informative - and yes, current - than it's ever been. Stay tuned for updates in the spring, and please feel free to tell us how we can make this website work for you.
The updated website will be part of a larger overhaul that will affect all levels of Indiepolitik and the work we do. By the summer of this year, you're going to see a brand new Indiepolitik, featuring the launch of many new projects and resources, along with the return of some great projects that we've had to put on hold. We will do our best to keep you posted as things develop.
We'll be bringing a lot of new things your way, and we'll need volunteers in order to make it happen. We'll be hosting a lot of new events on top of our current schedule, and we hope that you'll join us. Stay tuned for news and updates as they become available, and let us know how we can serve you better. Thanks!
The twenty-second edition of Indiepolitik's monthly reading series will also be the first reading presented by Moez Surani, our new curator. Moez is set to kick off a brand new direction for the series with the help of five great readers, and we invite you all to come down and be a part of it! As always, we will also be collecting book donations in honour of the Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy. Visit the Strong Words section of this site for more information.
There's much more to come in the world of Indiepolitik, so stay tuned to this space for news and information as it develops. Please feel free to email us with your questions or concerns. Thanks for visiting!
